From the Marina Santelena it is just a few minutes’ walk to the Piazza San Marco. No matter how big the hordes of tourists, the triangle between St. Mark’s Basilica, the Campanile and Doge’s Palace retains all of its magic. A newly renovated ACI Marina and a picturesque Old Town make Rovinj a sought-after anchorage spot on a superyacht charter to Croatia. Narrow streets wind up from the port to the Church of St. Euphemia. Besides the astounding views and the finest church architecture in Istria, the restaurant Monte also boasts breathtaking sunsets, while delicious and intoxicating cocktails are the speciality at the Valentino Bar.

Delightful captain’s cottages dating from the 19th century sit alongside the idyllic natural harbour in the little town and eponymous island in the Bay of Kvarner. People are drawn here by the beautiful walking and hiking trails, such as through the Cikat Forest Park. The most famous islander is Apoxyomenos, the 2,000-year-old bronze statue of a Greek athlete.

A car-free headland, listed historic buildings dating back to the Romans and the Habsburgs, and vibrant Mediterranean flair: Zadar simply has it all and is a must-see during a Croatia yacht charter. And on top of this there’s the “Sea Organ» and the “Greeting to the Sun” – impressive installations of light and sound, glass and sea. This architectural jewel dating back to the time of the Romans and the Renaissance, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The wide beachfront promenade is lined by bars, cafés and yachts. Reserving in advance in the marina is recommended, as the 160 mooring berths quickly get booked out.

Dating back to 1700, the palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian is so large that it is a designated World Heritage Site. At the same time, it houses dozens of chic bars, restaurants and shops. The ancient world and the modern world form a fascinating urban mix in Split. And once again it is the seafront promenade, Riva, where the Mediterranean flair of this town can best be experienced whilst enjoying a superyacht charter to Croatia.

Croatia’s largest island is famous for its marble-like limestone, which adorns Berlin’s Reichstag amongst other buildings. There is also Zlatni Rat, the golden pebbled beach that has been photographed a million times stretching out into the Adriatic. The dramatic scenery with its steep cliffs, pine forests and ink-blue waters make a visit here particularly worthwhile, as well as the scent of sage and lavender.

The island’s capital is famous as Croatia’s party hotspot. There are just a few boat moorings in the city port. But the modern and beautifully situated ACI Marina Palmižana on the peaceful neighbouring island of Sveti Klement is close, and water taxis connect the islands.

The ACI Marina Korčula looks out towards the mighty city walls with St Mark’s Cathedral towering above. Korčula was ruled by Venice from the beginning of the 15th century to the end of the 18th century. The famous adventurer Marco Polo is said to have been born here. There is no evidence of this, but that makes exploring the streets and alleyways in search of his spirit no less exciting.

Dubrovnik is known as Croatia’s top travel destination for good reason. The walk on the Medieval city walls and the views of the Old City, a World Heritage Site, are more than worth the journey here during a Croatia yacht charter.
